Hub history

Professional and personal development led by highly trained, skilled and adaptable trainers and therapists. The hub is a place where people can learn, grow and nurture themselves.

2001
The Mind, Spirit and Body Centre opens The Kent Wellbeing Hub started life as The Mind, Spirit and Body Centre, opened by Yvonne Roberts, to provide services to the local community interested in spiritual wellbeing, awareness, healing and learning. Then, as it is now, the centre provided a welcome and guide through all aspects of spirituality, from curious beginners to those whose lives are immersed in spirituality. Reiki, massage and aromatherapy followed, along with many other complementary therapies. Before being transformed, the building was an extra space used by the Travelodge hotel next door, for conferences, then as a police facility. From 2001 until 2014, the Centre welcomed people for spiritual events, classes and healing, until its owner decided on a new life in Spain.
2014
Georgia Robinson-Steele took over the lease of the building from Yvonne. The building was refurbished, and very quickly, started to be used by new therapists and healers for private and public classes, events and wellbeing activities.
2018
Christine Fox joined Georgia to manage the business development and admin side, giving Georgia more time to focus on the wellbeing side. Christine had already started to train in counselling and Reiki and other complementary therapies, having experienced the positive impact on both herself and others that healing brings.
2020
The Centre was rebranded as The Kent Wellbeing Hub. A new logo and branding was developed, incorporating the chakra colours in the ‘umbrella of support’ – representing the hub having everything under one roof.
